On Tuesday January 15, 2002 the Friends of New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center took part in the Inaugural Parade for newly elected New Jersey Governor James E. McGreevey with the assistance of the Metro Jersey Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society and county of Warren. The photo shows the entry: a 1962 Autocar tractor pulling a 1927 Autocar dump truck on the trailer. The owner/driver of both beautifully restored trucks is John Donkersloot of Clifton whose family trucking business is celebrating their 100 anniversary this year. The trucks were decorated with flags and banners and "Friends" members walked with the trucks. The Heritage Center collection includes 8 historic trucks, 30 vintage buses, a heavy duty fork lift, 2 trolley cars, 26 railroad locomotives, and 64 train cars.
